Sneaker TLC Cleaning & Restoration – Terms & Conditions
Thank you for choosing Sneaker TLC Cleaning & Restoration.
By using our services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions, which comply with South African consumer and e-commerce laws.
1. Service Acceptance
Sneaker TLC reserves the right to accept or decline any order at our sole discretion.
Placing an order does not guarantee acceptance until confirmed by our team.
2. Payment Policy
- Full payment must be made in advance before any cleaning or restoration work begins.
- No work will commence until payment has been confirmed.
- Payment can be made via the approved methods displayed in-store or online.
3. Pricing & Estimates
- Prices listed or quoted are initial estimates based on the visible condition of your shoes.
- The final cost may change if additional work, materials, or repairs are required after assessment.
- We will notify you of any changes before proceeding, in compliance with Section 15(2) of the Consumer Protection Act (CPA).
4. Additional Charges for Previously Restored Shoes
Shoes that have undergone prior cleaning or restoration may require extra work or materials to meet our restoration standards.
In such cases, additional charges may apply, and you will be informed before we continue.
5. Completion Timeframes
- Completion times provided are estimates only.
- While we make every effort to meet deadlines, delays may occur due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., material sourcing, weather conditions, workload).
- Sneaker TLC cannot be held liable for reasonable delays beyond our control.
6. Refund Policy
- Once cleaning or restoration work has started, service fees are non-refundable.
- We do not offer refunds for dissatisfaction, early collection, or cancellations once the process has begun.
- Customers are encouraged to review the service quote and confirm acceptance before payment.
(Complies with CPA Section 17 – Consumer’s right to cancel prior to performance, and Section 20 – Return of items.)
7. Liability & Risk
- Sneaker TLC is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to shoes while in transit or in our possession.
- Customers are advised to collect completed shoes promptly once notified.
- You agree to indemnify Sneaker TLC, it’s directors and it’s staff from any claims arising from the use of our services or damage due to pre-existing conditions, age, or material defects in the shoes.
8. Warranty Disclaimer
- Due to the wide variety of shoe materials, finishes, and previous restoration work, results may vary.
- Sneaker TLC does not guarantee that the outcome will meet personal expectations or restore shoes to “as new” condition.
- We do not offer any express or implied warranty beyond what is required under South African law.
9. Returns & Corrections
For Cleaning Services:
- All cleaning services are considered final sale once shoes have been collected.
- Customers must inspect their shoes at pickup and raise any concerns immediately with our staff.
- Once shoes leave our premises, no further adjustments or corrections can be made.
For Restoration Services:
- Customers have 30 days from the date of service completion to request corrections or adjustments if dissatisfied.
- After 30 days, Sneaker TLC will not accept further returns or modifications.
10. Customer Acknowledgment & Loyalty Program
By using Sneaker TLC’s services, customers automatically agree to:
- Participate in the Loyalty Points and Referral Program, where applicable.
- Accept all terms, conditions, and inherent risks related to cleaning and restoration services.
- Acknowledge that results may vary due to shoe condition and prior treatments.
11. Privacy & Personal Information (POPIA Compliance)
- We collect only the information necessary to process your order (e.g., name, contact details, and payment information).
- Your data is handled securely and will not be shared with third parties except where required to complete your service or by law.
- By using our services, you consent to the processing of your information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and any disputes will be resolved under South African jurisdiction.
